It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas!

Here is a look at what I've been doing the last month! Too many decorations to post all of them. I can't believe Christmas is in 18 days! I haven't even started my shopping yet! I hope to be a little better at posting daily or at least weekly this next year!

Farm Girl Updates

Sorry for not posting in awhile! I thought it would be easy to post once a day, but found it seems we are always busy with other things! A few updates! I have been traveling for my job which has just been wonderful! We got the girls' rooms done - need to take pictures and post! Went to the Junk Bonanza to help my friend "The Farmers Wife" and of course found lots of great things to bring home! And finally, the best thing of the whole summer-I got my braces off yesterday!!!! It was a long 28 months, but so worth it - I love my new teeth/smile!!! Pictures to come soon I promise!

Painting projects!

The last few weeks I've spent all my spare time & days off painting again! Last summer I painted a few rooms and touched up some rooms before hosting my husband's 20th class reunion! All winter I was excited that all the rooms were just as I wanted them and therefore could spend all my free time working on the flower beds and outside decorating for summer!

My wonderful girls decided a month ago that they wanted to switch rooms, which meant more painting! They're both on an All-Star Cheerleading team and wanted their rooms to be the cheer colors! I love ORANGE & GREEN, but covering dark red and chocolate brown with those colors isn't fun! It took 4 coats of each color to cover! After 3 full days and a few nights of painting, I finally got it done! I still need to order the bedding and get all the walls decorated, but the hard part is done! I will post pictures as soon as I get them decorated!

Start of Spring Cleaning!

Today is the day I start Spring cleaning! Not a fun job, but it must be done! The girls have decided to switch rooms, which means painting and new bedding too! We've decided that before we do that we need to go through everything! They're ready to get rid of some barbies, build-a-bears, polly pockets, etc, so we're having yet another garage sale!

Today is a rainy, cloudy day! I decided it would make us all feel better to see something fresh, sunny and colorful! I came across these pics I took at the end of last summer! Enjoy and soon it will be sunny & warm!

Mexico 2010

We went to Mexico the last week of January! There were 8 of us, Rick's brothers, Matt, David, Curt and sis-in-law Chris, and my aunt & uncle Clark & Marilyn. We had a great time! This was our second time at the resort along with Curt & Chris! The resort was just as beautiful as the first time we were there. The food was awesom, drinks cold and the beach was white and beautiful! We had 85-90 degree weather everyday, with a few sprinkles the last morning! Here are just a few pics from the week!

Kenady & Maddie's hair color!

The girls have been begging me since last summer to let my cousin color their hair! I finally gave into them and they got their hair colored underneath and a strip on the top! Kenady got hot pink and Maddie got purple! They love it! The pictures are from right after they got it done. It isn't as bright since they've washed it a few times!

I'm still here!

I'm still here! We've had a busy couple of weeks! The girls had a cheer competition at the Mall of America in Minnesota and then we left for Mexico 4 days later!
